UL2271 is a safety standard developed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) specifically for rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs used in light electric vehicles (LEVs), such as e-bikes and e-scooters.
It ensures the battery is safe in terms of electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental performance.

UN38.3 is primarily for transportation safety and ensures batteries are safe during shipping.
UL2271, on the other hand, focuses on real-world battery use, testing for long-term safety under normal and abnormal operating conditions.
Both are important, but UL2271 is more comprehensive for product safety.

UL2271-certified batteries have passed extensive testing to reduce the risk of fire, explosion, or failure.
This means better protection for users, longer battery life, and greater confidence for retailers and partners—especially in markets like North America and the EU where certification is often required.

Currently, 21 of our battery models have officially passed UL2271 certification, making us the first Chinese battery manufacturer to achieve this milestone.
We are actively working to expand certification to more products in 2025.
